3D architectural visualizations of two semi-detached houses in Andorra

One of the main uses of 3D architectural visualization is its use in construction marketing. The investment of the developers on high quality photorealistic rendering may be decisive for sale.

With this objective the architectural firm Arqcoas commissioned us two 3D rendering of their last housing project located in Arties, village of Vall d’Aran in the Pyrenees. The architectural visualizations were used to present the project in the 7th edition of the Salón de Viviendas y Decoración de Euskadi (SIE home) which was held in Bilbao 15,16 and 17 November.

These are two semi-detached houses of three houses each located in a site that delimits on its back by the Garonne river. The client requested two exterior views, one of the main facade and another of the back. The 3D architectural visualization of the main facade should include people in such a way that the image reflected the lifestyle in Arties. The rear facade should include the river and the church so that was quickly locatable in the town.

Houses resolve construction details with the usual features in high mountain climates and with materials of the area. Sloping slate roofs, stone facades of 30 cm thick and windows protected with wooden shutters.

Once modeled and textured buildings, backgrounds of the 3D architectural visualizations were placed using real pictures taken in situ. From these images the cameras on the model were placed looking for framing that adapt better with real photo. The settings were sent to the client for their review. Once accepted, we proceed to the rendering of the images and the work is finished with the post production of the 3D computer graphic.
